About this project

A live support reply co-pilot built on TypeSafe AI's Jev model, evaluating tone, commitment risk, escalation, and predicted satisfaction in one parallel call while you type. Deployed on Cloudways Velocity. Built for a HackerNoon article on running Jev in production, not just testing it in a playground. While a support agent types a reply, the app sends the draft to Jev over an open WebSocket connection and asks four typed questions in a single call: Tone (Choice): empathetic, neutral, curt, or defensive.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Sends drafts over WebSocket and evaluates four typed questions in a single Jev call.
  • Displays Jev time and full round-trip time to separate hosting overhead from model time.
  • Deduplicates repeats with settled plus in-flight caches returning identical results.
  • Falls back to deterministic mock answers when TYPESAFE_API_KEY is missing.

Watch out

Mock mode uses deterministic hash and keyword placeholders that are not semantically aware, so confirm real-key mode before trusting output. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

The request shape barely changes across surfaces; the surrounding contract does. When to call the API directly and when a gateway, a Worker binding, or a router entry earns its extra hop.
