No, and this trips people up. Installing the Skill does not install the browser connection: you still need Codex with Computer Use attached to Chrome or its in-app browser, plus Node 22 or newer. If Codex reports the browser tool missing, that is the connection, not the Skill.
It sees accessibility text, not screenshots, while Codex handles typing, visual interpretation and unsupported controls. That text is sent to whichever provider you configured, so a logged-in page's contents leave your machine through TypeSafe or OpenRouter depending on which key you chose. Workflows were exercised on macOS.

Yes. Run codex plugin marketplace add wy-coliney/jev-browser-use and codex plugin add jev-browser-use@jev-browser-use, then restart Codex. It needs a Codex CLI with codex plugin support, and you should choose the plugin or the standalone Skill to avoid duplicate instructions, since both use the same Jev configuration.
If Codex says the browser tool is missing, it is not listed inside functions.exec's deferred tools, so follow the direct mcp__cua_repl.js discovery steps; installing the Skill alone does not add Computer Use. If Chrome attachment fails before Jev runs, the in-app browser may still work, and an ENOTFOUND from Jev needs the credential-free CUA network probe because a successful shell request does not prove network access inside CUA.
