jev CLI for OpenRouter

A Rust command-line interface for OpenRouter's Jev decision model. Each command sends one state and one typed question to the Decisions API, validates the returned answer against that question, and writes JSON for scripts and agents.

Highlights

  • Supports all three Jev question types: Noul (a probability), Choice (one option with probabilities and confidence) and Score (ordered levels).
  • Validates the API response against the requested question type; a successful command means a valid answer exists, which for Noul can still be negative.
  • Default model is typesafe/jev-1.13, overridable with --model; model IDs allow letters, digits and / . : _ - ~ characters, never whitespace.
  • Calls are billed to the OpenRouter account behind OPENROUTER_API_KEY; install with cargo install --path apps/cli, then use jev --help.

Quickstart

bash
export OPENROUTER_API_KEY="sk-or-..."
cargo run -p jev-cli -- --help

Watch out

README reviewed 2026-10-17; the captured text ends mid-sentence in the --model section, so JSON output shape, error handling, tests and release artifacts are not visible. MIT-licensed with 0 stars.
