Highlights

  • pi install git:github.com/Reindeer-AI/pi-jev-guard, set TYPESAFE_API_KEY in Pi's environment and restart; the extension does not read .env files automatically.
  • One instructionRoot is chosen at policy load: edits under the Git root are reviewed, edits outside it return skipped with no Jev request in either mode.
  • /jev status shows the active root and config; /jev reload picks up policy changes after you copy the starter into .pi/jev-guard.md.
  • Enforcement blocks violations only in code selected for review; the README calls it a review aid, not a replacement for tests or linters.
  • Requires Pi 0.85.1+ and Node 22.19+, and ships a generic starter policy with no organization-specific rules.

Quickstart

bash
pi install git:github.com/Reindeer-AI/pi-jev-guard

Watch out

Copy reviewed against the repo README on 2026-10-15; the captured text is truncated inside the rule-example section. GitHub metadata lists no license, the guard is Pi-specific, and a shared root still uses one config - it does not load each target repository's .pi/jev-guard.md.
