code_2 — Fast decisions with Jev

A small Python support-ticket triage pipeline: Jev judges every incoming ticket in one typed call, plain if statements decide whether it is worth a second pass, and an LLM writes a reply only when Jev's scores cross a threshold.

Highlights

  • Four judgments ride in one system_one call: is_urgent, is_angry and needs_a_human as Nouls, plus intent as a Choice among four labels.
  • A worked example returns is_urgent=0.78, is_angry=0.26, needs_a_human=0.25 and intent='technical_help' — numbers and labels that drop straight into code.
  • Answers come back as r.nouls['is_urgent'].noul, a 0-to-1 float, and r.choices['intent'].choice, a string, so there is no text to parse.
  • The reply LLM, wired for gpt-4.1-mini and a Claude model in the diagram, is only called when Jev's scores say the ticket is worth it.
  • Ten sample tickets ship in messages.py; config.py reads TYPESAFE_API_KEY, OPENAI_API_KEY and ANTHROPIC_API_KEY from .env.

Watch out

Copy reviewed against the repo README on 2026-10-15; it was truncated inside the architecture diagram, so app.py's full logic and the running and tuning sections were not inspected. The scores shown are illustrative sample tickets, the repo publishes no benchmarks, and the captured metadata lists no license.
