An OpenRouter API key is sufficient. The project states that Jev and the comparison models all pass through that same key.
You submit a state and a question schema; Jev returns probabilities. The supported types are noul for yes/no with a continuous probability, choice for a list, and score for a scale.
The transport was verified on 21 September 2026 against /api/alpha/decisions. If the API moves, the project says only lib/jev.ts needs correction; no other file knows the address.
Haiku 4.5 writes a draft and Jev rereads it using four noul questions in one call. If any criterion exceeds 50%, the draft is shown crossed out in red with the criterion and its probability.
It runs 50 frozen public tender notices through both columns with the same parallelism cap of 16. Measured 21 September 2026: 1,200–1,800 ms for Jev versus 6,700–7,100 ms for Haiku, 22–23× cheaper, with 48/50 agreement.
Jev scores difficulty on five levels, and requests route to Haiku 4.5 or Opus 5 using a threshold of 2.50. The routing decision appears about 300 ms after the question is displayed.
