Jev Xianhui Windows

XianHui for Windows screenshots the WeChat window, reads the other side's messages with local RapidOCR, and asks Jev which one has to be answered now, then shows up to five threads as a colour-coded overlay that jumps you to the right chat app. It ranks, it never replies.

Highlights

  • Three tiers, reply now in red, soon in yellow and can wait in grey, with at most five entries shown at once and a click switching to the right app.
  • It only judges: no reply text is ever generated, and the overlay just tells you which thread to look at first.
  • OCR runs locally through RapidOCR and screenshots stay in memory; message text is sent only at the moment a judgment is made.
  • One judgment takes roughly a second and about $0.00004, since Jev only answers which to pick, how much and yes or no.

Watch out

The WeChat window must stay visible and unminimized: Windows exposes no system-level message notification interface, so a minimized or closed window produces a blank capture, and the README calls this a platform constraint rather than a bug. Parsing depends on the relative position of left and right message bubbles, so a significant WeChat layout change means recalibrating capture/parser.py. OCR reads text only, so images and stickers return nothing; the ranked list is cleared on restart by design; and the OCR model takes a second or two to load on first start. Message text does leave your machine at judgment time, through the single POST in core/jev_client.py that reaches Jev via OpenRouter. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
