Highlights

  • The default decision model is openrouter:typesafe/jev-1.13, enabled per deployment via DEFAULT_DECISION_MODEL and DEFAULT_DECISION_MODEL_ENABLED.
  • Modules under apps/web/utils/decision-model cover choose-rule, cold-email, thread-status, recurring-pattern, unsubscribe-page, and categorize-sender.
  • Each module has eval tests under apps/web/__tests__/eval/decision-model; choose-rule.ts sets MIN_CHOICE_CONFIDENCE 0.3 and COLD_EMAIL_THRESHOLD 0.7.
  • Direct TypeSafe access uses TYPESAFE_API_KEY; other providers resolve their own keys through OpenRouter, Vercel AI Gateway, or OpenAI.
  • If a decision call fails, that step falls back to the configured LLM, and multi-rule selection stays on the LLM path.

Watch out

GitHub reports the license as NOASSERTION (check the repository LICENSE for terms); self-hosted deployments need provider keys, and users who bring their own AI key are not enrolled in the decision model by default.
