WTF is Jev by @typesafeai? Here’s the tl;dr ELI5: Think AI multiple choice, not AI essay writing. It doesn’t chat. It makes decisions your software can act on: “Spam or not?” “Which tool should this agent use?” “Does this need a human?” The exciting part: roughly 200x faster Show more
HEIST//ONE
An observable stealth game where Jev supplies guards' split-second judgments while deterministic code owns the 30 Hz simulation, validates every proposal, and exposes each decision in a Decision Lens.

Highlights
- One batched typed request covers four Jev judgments per guard, and code rejects illegal targets, stale context, and policy-incompatible actions.
- Scripted mode is the default, so the museum runs with no account or key; Node.js 22.13+ and pnpm 11 are required.
- A verified live run completed a clean extraction: 12 batched requests, 288 typed judgments, 12 of 12 responses, and 0 fallbacks.
- Median adapter latency was 259.9 ms and p95 344.1 ms; the run used 63,349 input and 12,181 output tokens.
- A Decision Lens shows evidence, distributions, confidence, and applied intent, alongside append-only JSONL traces.

Screening agent actions with Jev
Tested TypeSafe’s Jev (no-text, probability-only model) as an AI agent safety monitor. Checking each action first worked well caught most attacks with almost no false blocks, and much faster than Gemini.
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x

Navigating Neo4j with Jev
Jev Show more
