Add https://github.com/luxus/ha-conversation-jev as a HACS custom repository (category Integration), download Jev Assist and restart Home Assistant, or copy custom_components/jev_assist/ into your config folder and restart.
A TypeSafe/Jev API key is required and stored on the config entry. Grok can sign in with device-code + PKCE via the Grok CLI OAuth client, or use an optional API key for api.x.ai as a fallback.
Light (turn on, turn off, toggle, set brightness), climate (set temperature, turn on/off, set hvac mode) and cover (open, close, stop, set position, set tilt) services, mapped in light_map.py, climate_map.py and cover_map.py.
A multi-area action such as all lights in bedroom and hallway stays a fast_service union over the named rooms' exposed lights. target_area=none never fires all exposed entities of a domain.
Routing gates use FAST_MIN_CONFIDENCE=0.80, NOUL_YES_THRESHOLD=0.55 and NOUL_UNSURE_LOW=0.40, so an uncertain fast-path match can be rejected or handed to Grok instead of firing a service.
No TTS/STT/chat stack lives inside Jev; it hands off to conversation.spacexai_grok for the Grok path. Tests mock Jev, so pytest needs no live API keys.
