Will this automatically remember all my chats after install?

No. Installation prepares the vault and agent links, but remembering across chats needs directive reads, recall packs, and session logs as separate steps described in the usage guide.

Do I have to give it Mem0 and Jev keys to finish setup?

No, Enter skips either question and local memory still works. You can add or rotate services later with the configure-services flag without touching the vault or agent links.

Where do keys actually live and are they tested?

Keys are collected with hidden input into the config directory and only entered services are updated. Install does not send a live API check; a separate verify-services command sends a small fixed probe without personal notes.

What if I already have a personal vault?

Do not run the full installer over an existing personal vault. Use the agent-link steps for that vault, with custom vault paths and flags that skip downloads and API questions.

What are the system requirements for Hafiza OS?

Python 3.10 or higher. The one-command installer runs install.sh on Linux/macOS or install.ps1 on Windows, downloads the repository files into an ~/Hafiza vault, and installs Obsidian if it is missing. Git is not required, and an existing folder is not overwritten.

How does Jev fit into Hafiza OS by default?

Jev is an optional access and review adviser that is off by default; an existing vault with no Jev setting is created with mode=shadow. When enabled, a Vercel AI Gateway key routes through Vercel and a TypeSafe key goes directly to TypeSafe, and the local vault stays the canonical source.

How can I check that my service keys actually work?

Run python3 baslat.py --vault ~/Hafiza --verify-services. It sends a small fixed-text request to each configured, non-disabled Mem0/Jev connection and records the outcome per service in komuta/kurulum-sonucu.json as not_configured, disabled, config_invalid, verification_failed: or verified.
