About this project

Server-authoritative browser FPS: queue up, fight Jev (TypeSafe System One) in a Rust-like industrial yard, first to 5 kills. Spectators watch and chat from the sidelines. Final kill gets a killcam before the next challenger. Client: Vite + Three.js + TypeScript. Server: Node.js + ws, 60 Hz sim, 20 Hz snapshots. AI: @typesafe-ai/sdk (jev-latest) with heuristic fallback. Production-style (single Node host serves API + built client): Serves the built client from the Node server on PORT (default 3001).

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Queues one human against Jev per match while others spectate and chat, first to five kills.
  • Runs a 60 Hz server simulation with frequent Jev decision ticks and client rendering in the browser.
  • Uses bolt-action sniper rules with ADS settle timing, shared radar, safe respawns, and replay on the final kill.
  • Keeps API keys server-side and falls back to heuristics so matches never stall on outages.

Watch out

Live matches consume Jev calls continuously while playing, so budget API usage and keep the key on the server. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
