About this project

Tic-tac-toe, but every move for one side comes from Jev, a System One Model built for fast, structured decisions — unstructured state in, typed probabilistic decisions out.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Board sent as natural-language state with criteria limited to currently empty cells.
  • Each Jev turn returns choice, confidence, and full distribution via JevClient.choose_move.
  • React plus Vite frontend renders probability bars live in the move log.
  • FastAPI backend exposes POST /games and POST /games/{id}/moves with pytest coverage.

Watch out

Needs Python 3.12 plus uv, Node.js, and a Jev API key; backend allows CORS only from the Vite dev server. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

The request shape barely changes across surfaces; the surrounding contract does. When to call the API directly and when a gateway, a Worker binding, or a router entry earns its extra hop.
