About this project

Based on: Building a Harness with Jev — LangChain (S. Runkle, H. Lovell, Sept 2026) By: Abdul Qaadir (@TechWorldWithAbdul) Agents loop: LLM decides → tool executes → model evaluates → repeat. Every decision costs an LLM call = slow + expensive. Jev fixes the decisions. Send it a state (context) + questions, get back typed answers + probabilities — evaluated in parallel, up to 200× faster / 400× cheaper than an LLM on classification. Rule: the LLM thinks & writes. Jev decides.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Teaches the loop split: LLM thinks and writes while Jev decides urgency, safety, and routing.
  • Ships MANUAL.md concepts plus Noul, Choice, Score, Model Router, and AutoMode coverage.
  • Three examples for Noul classification, model routing middleware, and bash guardrail safety.
  • Minimal quickstart with pip install, one API key, and a single classifier invocation.

Watch out

Guide and demos following a LangChain article, not a standalone inference product; API behavior follows your installed SDK. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
