About this project

A bounded decision layer for browser and desktop automation. Your code observes the surface, builds the list of things it could do, executes one of them, and checks the result. A decision-only model makes exactly one choice per step: which candidate is next.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • The model never sees a screenshot, never writes a selector, never produces text to type and never judges success.
  • One runtime dependency, websocket-client, driving the Chrome, Chromium or Edge you already have over CDP.
  • Exit codes are contract: 0 every goal reached its postcondition, 1 a goal did not, 2 a hard error, so it fits a pipeline.
  • Safety is declared up front: allowed hosts, allowed actions, typing off by default, plus dry run and a JSONL trace.

Watch out

The headline benchmark is fifteen frozen observations of one calculator window with three repeats each, and the README itself concedes the competing model's three misses were all the same transport failure rather than wrong answers, which leaves latency as the column that separates the two. The mock chooser is a deliberate keyword-overlap fixture at 3 of 15 so the library, its tests and its docs work with no key, and it is explicitly not a baseline to beat. The Jev provider needs Python 3.10 or newer because the vendor SDK does; on 3.9 the core, the OpenAI-compatible provider and the mock all work and the extra says so plainly instead of failing the install. There is no lookahead, so when the next step is not derivable from the current observation the model answers a stuck sentinel rather than guessing and you put a planner above it. The per-decision costs are the author's own runs, not a published benchmark. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
